K+H Summer Wedding Story | Holly Hedge Estate in New Hope, PA
- “What we cultivate between two people
is no less an art than what blooms between stem and soil.” -
Kasey and Henry sourced every single vase for their wedding, which would normally make me really nervous- but Kasey is an interior designer and kept a very open dialogue with me to ensure a cohesive collection that perfectly complemented our sustainable, farm-grown florals. For this English garden-inspired Holly Hedge Estate wedding in New Hope, we incorporated a rich tapestry of seasonal blooms grown on our Bucks County farm, creating arrangements with the natural, slightly untamed elegance that defines true cottage garden style.
For the wedding floral arrangements, we wanted to play on the traditional garden party floral idea, but let the palette be more saturated and embrace some of the nuances of an actual English garden - where flowers grow in big, bold groups rather than all mixed in together. It inspired our single variety arrangements for the ceremony.
Sustainably and budget-minded, we repurposed every single urn, from the ceremony to the reception space. We even recycled the bridesmaid’s bouquet baskets (kept in a sustainable Agra wool water source!) to make a big impact sweetheart table installation. The spring flowers were exclusively sourced from Wildbird and the Philadelphia Floral Guild (a hub of local farmers).
